Friends

A picture from each series, going in order from the first to last. There were 10 series of friends and I must have seen every single episode at least three times. It is an amazing programme and the quotes, story lines, jokes, characters and overall programme will never get old.

Sun sun sun

Today I wore this outfit, I am not a big fan of getting too much skin out when the sun comes out and its warm in England. I found this outfit perfect as the shorts without tights mean my legs are free, but the shirt makes the whole outfit look a bit less bare.
Putting my hair up just means it is out of the way and stops my neck getting too hot.

Today has been so beautiful and sunny, all I wanted to do was get out the house, so me and my dad went to B&Q and Homebase to get some things for the house. We then went and met my mum on her lunch break and went to a lovely little Deli in West Bridgeford, I cannot for the life of me remember its name! We then went and looked round a few little gift shops, said goodbye to my mum and went food shopping.

It's my turn to cook tonight so I'm doing Chicken breast with pesto, mozzarella and roasted pine nuts with green beans and Italian potatoes. I've cooked it a few times before so hopefully it will all go to plan and shouldn't take too long to make.
Until then, I'm off to sit in the garden with some strawberries and a cocktail.

Oh land

Cinematic Orchestra

Out in the garden where we planted the seedsThere is a tree as old as meBranches were sewn by the color of greenGround had arose and passed it's knees
By the cracks of the skin I climbed to the topI climbed the tree to see the worldWhen the gusts came around to blow me downI held on as tightly as you held onto meI held on as tightly as you held onto me......

Cause, I built a homefor youfor me
Until it disappearedfrom mefrom you
And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust........

Topshop is one of my favourite places to go clothes shopping, along with vintage shops/markets, independent boutiques, Ark, Newlook (for shoes only), H&M and Charity shops.
Like most other young women at the moment, cheap and cheerful goes a long way.
Finding bargains in charity shops and little vintage warehouses, shops and markets is the best feeling.

Splendid Saturday

Today I went to town with the lovely Kara and found the shirt below, which was an amazing bargain, I also purchased a card for my Grandma who's birthday it is today. Happy birthday Nanny, love youuuu.
I then got the bus back to my house in the sunshine, despite a few downpours of rain, the weather has been amazing today. The sun is so warm and there is a lovely breeze every now and then to cool me down.
Before I enjoyed the sunshine though, me and my mum booked up some lovely dishes for my Nanny's birthday BBQ tomorrow. She is bringing her dog Jess, Jess is the best dog in the world!
We made these burgers which are made with sausage meat, sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts, parmesan, basil and parsley! yumm
These obviously aren't cooked yet!
After making lots of lovely things, I then had my dinner and enjoyed the sun.
I am now in the process of getting ready to go out to town. Lovely day all round!
Off to town and this is the outfit I chose.

Red shirt- Charity shop (Age UK) £3.45
Necklace- Oxfam £6
Vintage brown belt- Cow £4
Black pleated skirt- Topshop £30
Brogues- New Look. Gift from a friend.
I have taken to wearing flats to town recently as they are much more comfortable and who cares if I'm small? Not me.

The best things come in small packages

Warpaint

Amazing Band. So good live.

Popcorn

Popcorn is one of my favourite foods and I am now the proud owner of two popcorn bowls/containers. The first, the big white one, I got from my mum and dad in 2007. I used to eat a whole microwave popcorn packet to myself a week, (unhealthy I know) so my parents got me my own popcorn bowl.
It is now 2011, and for my 19th birthday I received another popcorn bowl from my sister and her boyfriend from urban outfitters http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/popcorn-bowl/invt/5530400065863/?htxt=tMezcGxZVbPgmwQzlWHxVQ19SXyvxHqVAyvHL%2FxWbCNFLZBaFm8%2FW38DBQE%2B8E9B9c2pias6rUL%2B%0AA6TkLByY%2BQ%3D%3D
So happy.

Lykke Li

I have only recently properly discovered Lykke Li and I have had her songs on repeat non-stop ever since. I also watched her at Glastonbury on flag hill, you couldn't really see her but could hear perfectly and it was amazing.

My weekend and Monday

I haven't posted for a while now and that is because I have had a very fun and interesting weekend, it has been my Dad's birthday so the Woods and Josh headed up to Swindon to stay with my sister as it is closer to London and she has a lovely house with her boyfriend of six years Chris!
We headed down to Swindon after my driving lesson and arrived about four-ish, after present opening and a drink we went and got ready, we headed over to Tom Kerridge's restaurant off The Great British Menu, it has a Michelin star and it is the first Michelin star restaurant I have ever been to! The area it was in was absolutely stunning and if I ever won the lottery, I would get myself a cottage there. We had an amazing meal, the food was so so good. http://www.thehandandflowers.co.uk/

The next day we said goodbye to Josh who headed back to Bristol and got the train to London, Paddington station. We arrived in London and went to this food market that was so nice and had so much tasty food, we then walked along the river and headed over to the massive Topshop, after that we went for a drink and sit down at Costa as London was very hot that day! We went and looked in Hamlets, the toys were so cool! After that we went to Soho for our second Michelin star in two days, we got these vouchers and it was again, an amazing meal. After the meal we went out on the streets of Soho, it was gay pride day which made the night even more interesting. The streets were full of people singing and dancing and partying, all the Wood family got in the spirit of things and were dancing and celebrating.
I then saw China town for the first time, I was very impressed!

Sunday was a more relaxing day in Swindon and my sister Tabba cooked us a lovely meal, we then headed back to Nottingham.

Today, Monday has also been a lovely day. I bet my friends Kara, Tunney and Sammy and we had lunch at this lovely place The Hawksley, we then walked through 'The Park', it is a place in Nottingham, it is picture perfect with amazing old houses and lovely little parks dotted around, it is literally 5minutes from town too! We all decided we want to live there one day, it is our dream!
