This week has been all about pulling off a surprise party for my Dad's birthday, it has been so stressful, but in the end it was so rewarding seeing his face, and his surprise at all the people he loved in the world making the effort to come and be there for his birthday. As always my mum put on the best spread, and everyone else made food and brought it over, and we had an amazing BBQ and feast. The sun even came out specially for the occasion!

This week I also got to see the Olympic flag come through the little village I lived in for 18years, Radcliffe-on-Trent, it was so fun and it felt like I was at a festival/carnival, as at the skate park near the village center had a stage, music, rides, stalls, food, lots of people sitting in the sun drinking and laughing, and it made me so excited for the Olympics. I love it when everyone comes together to celebrate.

The pursuit of happiness

So things have been pretty tough lately, it has been over a month now since me and Josh broke up, but things don't seem to have gotten any easier. I suppose that is aloud after being with someone for three years.

So the title of this post isn't the film, it is about my pursuit of happiness; whether that means becoming okay and not as upset anymore, becoming just friends with the boy that was once the center of my world and my best friend, or me and josh finding each other again.

It was my lovely friend Kara's birthday the other day, and we celebrated it by getting very drunk.

Bon Iver tickets

Got my ticket to go and see Bon Iver on their small UK tour in November. I am so so excited to be seeing them for the second time as they are my favorite band in the world.

My face has a weird shine on it, but oh well, this is my new black aran jumper, knitted by my lovely grandma (Nanny). She also attached a cute little gold broach on to the neck which I love. This would have cost me a lot of money in any shop, well done Nanny, you are the best.

However, it is the middle of June and I am wearing a jumper, this is not right!

Overall, everything was beautiful, and I am so so grateful to everyone who made this weird birthday, so amazing. I took a few photos of my watch, kitted yellow top, Ted Baker scarf and one of my necklaces

My 20th Birthday, the silver lining to a very grey cloud

I haven't blogged in a very long time yet again, I am really loosing the plot with it! I suppose the main reason is because me and my boyfriend of three years broke up on the 23rd May, which is still now horrible and upsetting. However, on a lighter note, it was my 20th birthday yesterday, and it made me realise how incredible my friends and family are. I had such an amazing night out on the 9th, and I got so many drinks bought for me, and was basically treated like a princess, to make sure I wasn't sad. Then yesterday on my actual birthday the sun decided to come out to play and me and my mum, dad, sister, her fiancee, my grandma and her partner went for the most beautiful meal, and then for drinks. I spent the whole day in the sunshine in my new clothes and it has made everything so much more bearable.
