Bingo teaparty

Last night and today have been so good, me and my friends went to rebel bingo, which was possibly one of my favorite nights out in a long long time, we all ended up covered from head to toe in pen, unfortunately we didn't win bingo though.
Then today, as a surprise for our lovely flatmate Jess, we threw her a surprise tea party, with little triangular sandwiches, scones, crisps, a victoria sponge, flapjacks, party rings, sausage rolls, and of course tea and squash.

Merry beginning of... almost Christmas

Today has been such a lovely day, my parents came down to visit me in Sheffield after they'd been to see my Grandma in Leeds. They arrived at around 11:30am and it was so so lovely to them, I know it sounds shit, but they are absolutely incredible people and I miss them so much when I'm at uni!
My mum and Dad also came baring gifts, they brought me a little bag a treats that my grandma had put together for me, containing my favorite biscuits, a cookie, a bag of haribo sweets, a Christmas card with £5 in, a little teddy Santa, and some mini crackers which my mum arranged on my windowsill to look lovely and Christmassy. They also brought our old Christmas tree with the lights and baubles and mine and my sisters little fairy, an advent calender and lots more Christmassy things, including some lovely fairy lights which look amazing in my room!
We then went shopping and had a little wander around shops, picking out things we like and spending quality time together. Then we went to my favorite little restaurant/bar in Sheffield, the old house and had an incredible meal. Mum and Dad bought my a little desk lamp for my room too, to make it look more homey, and then we went back and chilled in my room. It was so so lovely to see them, and I cannot wait for Christmas.

After they left, me and my flatmates decided to make snowflakes and some Christmas decorations in preparation for tomorrows day of putting up our trees, listening to Christmmasy music, and watching Christmas films. Can't wait!

work work work

My days are mainly filled with Uni work lately, and as much as it pisses me off and stresses me out, as soon as i finish a bit of work, I feel so proud of myself, and all the labor and worry vanishes, then all that's left is the result, which is the worst bit! I am working on one of the hardest essays I have ever had to do at the moment, and finally getting in to it, and making some good points, which is so rewarding.

Other, more enjoyable bits of work I am doing at the moment, are the six pages I have to put together for my own magazine on whatever I want. Naturally I chose to do a fashion magazine, and it is basically vogue with my own little twist, it is more fashion based, meaning less advertisements, and no signs of celebrities that are nothing to do with the fashion industry, instead I chose to do an article on Twiggy, and used a beautiful, less well known model for my from cover. I will also be doing a double page spread on Festival fashion, and will have to put together my own contents page and advertisement, which I will also have to take my own pictures for. Here is a photo I took on my phone of the finished three pages I have done so far, ignore the lines as it is still on InDesign and hasn't been converted to a PDF file yet.

Sweets

I found this short story on a friends Facebook page and found it really funny...
'Mr Cadbury met Miss Rowntree on a Double Decker. It was After Eight. They got off at Quality Street. He asked her name. "Polo, I'm the one with the hole" she said with a Wispa. "I'm Marathon, the one with the nuts" he replied. He touched her Creme Eggs and slipped his hand into her Snickers. He fondled her Flap Jacks and she rubbed his Tic Tacs. It was a Fab moment as she screamed in Turkish Delight and he shot his chewy centre. But 3 days later his sherbert dib-dab started to itch. Turns out Miss Rowntree had been with Bertie Bassett and he's got feckin Allsorts!!'

After a lovely weekend with Josh, Aimee, Jen and her friends Amy and Beth, it is finally time to admit to myself that I have an essay in, in five days, and that I have only done an introduction, good bye social like for five days. See you again on Friday, when I will either be relieved, or dreading the results of my awful essay.

+

Having a rubbish cold and mountains of work really is ruining my social life, and my life in general. However, I am increasingly getting more and more excited for Christmas and the weekends. Josh is up this weekend, a long awaited visit, which I hope/know will be filled with cuddles, kisses, nice food, naughty things and love. The  Christmas lights are also being turned on, on Sunday, so I imagine we will be down their in our hats and scarfs with hot chocolate and nice food!
The weekend after that my parents are coming up on Sunday to take me out for a meal and come and see my flat again and meee, I can't wait to see them as I miss them so much. Mum and Dad will also be bringing mine and my sisters old Christmas tree, which no longer fits in our new house, so me and the girls at uni have inherited it and its decorations! Can't wait to put it up and make the flat look Christmasy!
The countdown begins...

I like secrets

Another amazing post secret.

Shake it out, shake it out, shake it out, shake it out, ooh woaaah

This weekend has been so good, Friday began with me heading down to Leeds on the train and then getting lost in Leeds city center, but finally finding my friends and going for a lovely weatherspoons ahaha. We all bought alcohol after that and headed to my best friend Evie's Uni house. We arrived, and after lots of hugs and hello's, Evie opened her birthday presents and then all the girls went and got ready.
We headed to the house party which was mainly full of people from Nottingham! Catching up with all my friends was so good, and of course my night ended by looking after the birthday girl as she had a little cry, because it was her party and she can cry if she wants to. Before that happened though, I experienced something I would never like to experience again, Evie's uni friend's arranged for a stripper for her and it was the most horrifying thing I have ever seen, as I watched an old man basically molest my best friend. Evie looked like she was going to cry/pass out throughout the whole performance, and she truly left her teens with a bang.

The next day me and Jasmine headed back to Sheffield as she was visiting me for the night and experiencing Sheffield nights out and looking and my lovely flat! We had an amazing night and spent the majority of the night holding hands, skipping around and twirling each other round, I loveee Jasmine.
Then today we went for a massive breakfast and lounged about till it was time for Jasmine to go back to Manchester, we said our goodbyes and that was the end of my lovely weekend, full of old and new friends.
